Refund and Cancellation Policy

“No Show” or Cancellation:

We understand unforeseen circumstances can occur.  We will gladly reschedule your training a maximum of two (2) times within a six- (6) month period.

No refunds will be issued for no shows.

Withdrawal prior to class:

Requests received 3 or more business days prior to the first day of class will be accepted without penalty.

Requests received 1-2 business days prior to the first day of class will be accepted with a $10 service fee.

There will be no refund for books issued prior to class.

Red Cross Cancellation of course:

Full refunds of course fees will be issued only for courses cancelled by the Portage County Red Cross.  You will be given ten (10) business days to request a refund or transfer into another class. 

General Information

·         Due to the nature of the skills in almost all CPR and First Aid courses, you will be participating in strenuous activities, such as performing CPR on the floor. If you have a medical condition or disability we recommend you consult with your physician prior to enrollment.

·         You are registered in a class only when we have received your payment and determine that space is available. 

·         Wear comfortable clothing that will allow kneeling and lying on the floor. 

·         For classes of 6 or more hours, a lunch break will be provided. 

·         Class starting times are firm so please report to class on time. Late arrivals may not be admitted. 

·         Childcare services are not provided. Please make appropriate arrangements prior to class.

·         Guests/visitors are not permitted in the classroom(s).

·         To receive certification you must perform the skills to the satisfaction of the instructor and pass the written exam(s) with an 80% or better.

·         There is no on-site parking at the Red Cross building. Parking is in the Lighthouse Pools/Family Dollar lot directly across the street from the Red Cross office.
